Is there a setup fee?

The short answer
GreetKeeper has no setup fee. The monthly plan is the whole price: Starter is $49 for 200 answered calls, Professional $149 for 750, Scale $349 for 2,000. Your dedicated local number is included, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with every feature on and no card needed. Your first bill arrives only after you've heard it answer real calls.

The longer answer

Setup fees in this category usually pay for a person to configure your account, write your greeting or port your number. They're charged once, up front, before you know whether the service works for your calls.

They also tend to hide. A setup fee rarely sits next to the monthly price, so it turns up in a quote, a sales call or the first invoice.

When you compare services, add any setup fee to the first month and ask for it in writing. A plan with the lower monthly price can still cost more in month one.

What setup involves when there's no fee for it

You start by pointing GreetKeeper at your website. It drafts your hours, services and FAQs from the site, and you correct anything it got wrong.

Next, write your greeting and choose the area code for your dedicated local number. Each location gets its own number, and each number can carry its own hours, greeting and calendar.

Then forward your existing line to it at your carrier or phone system. GreetKeeper answers in all four forwarding modes: all calls, busy, no answer and unreachable. The ring count is set where the forwarding is set, and GreetKeeper answers the moment the call arrives.

Connect your calendar, ring your own number from a mobile, and listen. That test call is the whole onboarding.

How GreetKeeper handles it

GreetKeeper prints every price on the pricing page, overage included. Past your allowance you pay $0.45, $0.35 or $0.25 a call depending on the plan, and booking comes with every tier.

Annual billing gives you two months free. For a group of sites, the Multi-location plan runs from $299 per location with a number for each one.

Robocalls and spam calls are screened out and don't count toward your plan, so your allowance goes to real callers from day one.

Setup cost questions

Do I pay for the phone number?

No. Every GreetKeeper plan includes a dedicated local number, with the area code you choose at signup. A business with three locations gets three numbers on the Multi-location plan.

Do I need a credit card to start the trial?

No card is needed. The 14-day free trial has every feature on, so you can forward your line, take real calls and book real appointments before you pick a plan.

Are there onboarding or training fees for an AI receptionist?

Not with GreetKeeper. You train it yourself from your website and your own answers, and you can change what it says at any time at no extra cost.
