Scripts

Copy-and-adapt scripts for the phone: greetings, intake questions, disclosure lines and handoffs, with the reasoning next to each one so you can change it without breaking it.

A phone script does two jobs. It tells the caller they've reached the right place, and it gets the three or four facts you need to act on the call. Every script here is built around those two jobs, whether it's a voicemail greeting, a dental front-desk script, a law firm intake or an HVAC emergency line.

Each page opens with the script itself, laid out as lines you can read aloud or paste into a settings box. Under it sits a short section on why it works: which line lowers the caller's guard, which question sorts urgent from routine, and where the script asks for the callback number. Then an adapt section shows what to change for your trade, your hours and your tone.

Some scripts open an AI call, and those carry a disclosure section. Maine's chatbot law says an AI in trade must not leave a consumer thinking they're talking to a person unless that is clearly disclosed. It covers spoken calls as well as text. Utah requires regulated occupations, such as medical, legal and accounting practices, to disclose verbally at the start of the call. The disclosure scripts give you opening lines written to those two rules. GreetKeeper's disclosure setting plays your chosen line at the top of every call.

Greeting scripts are where GreetKeeper does the most with the least setup. You word the greeting yourself, and the assistant says it on every call. Point GreetKeeper at your website and it drafts your hours, services and FAQs as a first pass, which you then correct. Intake questions from these scripts become the questions it asks, and every answer arrives with the call as a transcript and a short summary.

Two scripts deserve a mention on their own. The transfer-to-human handoff shows what a good warm transfer sounds like: the caller hears what's happening, the person picking up hears who's on the line and why, and nobody repeats themselves. GreetKeeper transfers to your team when a caller asks or when it's unsure, and tries a second number you nominate if the first doesn't pick up. The call recording disclosure message gives you an announcement to pair with recording. On GreetKeeper, recording is configurable and always comes with a notice you word yourself.

Use these as drafts, not as law. Read each one aloud in your own voice before you adopt it. If a line sounds like something you'd never say to a customer face to face, cut it. A script that sounds like your front desk on a good day is the one callers trust, and it's also the one that gets you the callback number without a second prompt.

The voicemail greeting collection is the biggest page in the section, with examples grouped by situation, from a plain after-hours message to an out-of-office line for a solo practice. Even when GreetKeeper answers every call for you, the greeting it says first is still yours to write, and the collection is a good place to borrow the first draft.
