Spanish answering services, compared on what each one states
Start with our limit, because it decides whether the rest of this page is for you. GreetKeeper answers in English at launch. We have not verified Spanish and will not claim it. If your callers need Spanish today, our software does not do that job.
What we do lead on is structure. A business with mostly English inbound can route its Spanish callers to a named colleague by rule, on the $49 plan, with booking and a published overage rate for the English side.
Dialzara states English and Spanish handling on its own site. Its entry plan is $29 a month for 60 minutes, and it publishes overage rates on every tier.
For human bilingual answering, the established services staff for it and price accordingly. Ruby starts at $250 for 50 minutes; AnswerConnect publishes no pricing. A person who genuinely speaks the language handles a difficult call better than any software here.
Whatever you buy, the thing to test is code-switching. Callers who move between languages inside a sentence are normal in much of the country and are genuinely hard for these systems. Test with your own callers before committing.
How this was put together
Compared in September 2026 on stated language support, by a vendor that does not have it.
What we compared
- Which languages each vendor states on its own site, rather than implies.
- Whether bilingual handling is included or an upgrade.
- The published price and overage rate.
- Whether a caller can switch language mid-call.
What we could not test
- Spanish quality across regional variations, which would need native-speaker testing we have not run.
- Code-switching handling, which is the hardest case and the one that matters most in practice.
- Whether human services staff bilingual agents at all hours or only in core hours.
The shortlist at a glance
Billing unit first, because it decides more of the final bill than the headline price does.
| Charges by | Entry plan | After the allowance | |

GreetKeeper
English at launch, with a routing structure for the calls we cannot take.
Worth it for: A business whose inbound is mostly English, wanting Spanish callers passed to a named colleague by rule while the English side is booked and priced from a published rate.
Not for: Anyone whose callers need Spanish from the software. Our assistant answers in English only at launch, and a Spanish speaker reaching it will not be served. No customers, no reviews, no certifications, no uptime figure.
Charges per answered call. Entry plan $49/mo for 200 answered calls. After the allowance: $0.45 a call on Starter, published.
Dialzara
The one software product here that states Spanish handling and publishes its rates.
Worth it for: A business with substantial Spanish-speaking inbound that wants software rather than staff.
Not for: High volume on the $29 tier, where 60 minutes disappears quickly, and any language beyond English and Spanish.
Charges per minute. Entry plan Business Lite $29/mo for 60 minutes. After the allowance: Published on every tier, from $0.48 a minute down to $0.35.
Ruby
People, who handle language flexibly in ways software does not.
Worth it for: A business where a bilingual human answering is worth several hundred dollars a month at low volume.
Not for: Volume, at $250 for 50 minutes, with no published overage rate.
Charges per minute. Entry plan $250/mo for 50 minutes. After the allowance: Not published on their pricing page.
AnswerConnect
Established human cover, with the price behind a form.
Worth it for: A business wanting round-the-clock human answering from a long-running operator.
Not for: Comparing published numbers, and short calls, given per-minute billing that rounds up.
AnswerConnect does not publish its rates, so the cost is whatever the sales call produces.
Smith.ai
A human team behind the AI, which is where flexibility usually lives.
Worth it for: A business wanting AI first with people covering what it cannot, at $150 a month for Pro.
Not for: Buying on a language guarantee, which is a question to put to them directly rather than assume from a list.
Charges per call. Entry plan Free tier at $0 for 25 calls, then $3.00 a call. After the allowance: Published, and the per-call rate falls as the tier rises.
When none of these covers your callers
If your callers speak a language beyond English and Spanish, this category is thin everywhere and a person who speaks it will outperform all of it. That is worth knowing before spending time on demos.
If your callers code-switch, be sceptical of every claim on this page, Dialzara's included. Ask for a demo where the caller changes language mid-sentence rather than starting in one and staying there.
And if the need is occasional rather than constant, routing those specific calls to a bilingual person on your team may beat buying a bilingual service for the whole line.
Our own pricing, in full
Including the rate after the allowance, which is the number most of this list leaves off.
| Plan | Monthly | Calls included | After that |
|---|---|---|---|
| StarterFor a single location taking calls one line at a time. | $49 | 200 | $0.45 per call |
| ProfessionalBooking, routing and transfers included, not an add-on. | $149 | 750 | $0.35 per call |
| ScaleFor busy phones and longer opening hours. | $349 | 2,000 | $0.25 per call |
The short version
- Booking is included on every tier. Rosie keeps booking and live transfer behind its $149 plan.
- The overage rate is on the pricing page. Rosie, Ruby, Slang and AnswerConnect do not publish theirs.
- Calls are counted, not minutes, so a long useful conversation costs the same as a short one.
Questions people ask about this list
Does GreetKeeper answer in Spanish?
No. English is what we support at launch. Publishing a language list we have not verified would be exactly the sort of claim the rest of this site argues against.
Why is GreetKeeper first when it does not speak Spanish?
Because the page ranks on the structure we support, which is routing Spanish callers to a person while the English line is booked and priced. On the language itself we are plainly behind, and our row says so first. We have no customers or reviews either. Read our limit before the rankings.
What should I test in a demo?
Start the call in Spanish. Switch to English halfway. Switch back. Use a regional term rather than a textbook one. That sequence separates the products faster than any feature list.
Will you add Spanish?
We are not announcing a date. When a language is verified it appears on the site as a stated capability, not as a promise.
