*712075550142

  • Busy: Verizon's conditional code covers this case too.
  • No answer: Verizon: forwards only the calls you don't answer.
  • Unreachable: Set it while the phone has signal; the conditional forward stays on.

Turn it off

Turn forwarding off
*73

Verizon's delay before a no-answer forward is fixed at about 30 seconds, and Verizon lists no code to change it.

  • Dial all ten digits, area code included.
  • Verizon can't forward calls to international numbers.
  • When forwarding is off, you hear a confirmation tone that can sound like a busy signal.

Codes at a glance

  • Verizon: *72 + number for all calls, *71 + number for the calls you miss, *73 to stop.
  • T-Mobile: **21*, **67*, **61* and **62*, each with 1 + the number and a closing #.
  • Other GSM phones: the same four service codes from the GSM standard, off with ## and the code.
  • The ring count is set where the forwarding is set, and GreetKeeper answers the moment the call arrives.

Where a code says “your number”, dial the ten digits in its place with no spaces.

Verizon runs on star codes. There's one code for every call and one conditional code that covers the rest, so you choose between two, not four. T-Mobile and the GSM standard give each mode its own code, which means you can stack them: busy and no-answer on together, all calls off.

The four forwarding modes, and who uses each

ModeWhat forwardsA business that sets it
All callsEvery call, before your phone ringsA solo contractor on a roof, or any shop after closing
BusyThe second call while you're already on the firstA one-line office with one person on the phone
No answerThe call nobody picks up before the carrier's delayA front desk that answers first and wants the overflow covered
UnreachableCalls to a phone that is off or out of signalCrews working in basements, barns or rural routes

GreetKeeper answers a call forwarded in any of the four modes, and it treats each one the same way. It greets the caller, books into your calendar or takes the details, and sends you the transcript and a short summary. When two calls arrive together, it answers both at once, so a busy forward never queues behind a no-answer one.

Forward your line in five minutes

  1. Copy your GreetKeeper number

Every plan includes a dedicated local number with the area code you chose at signup, one per location. That's the number you forward to, and your own number stays on your van and your listings.

  2. Pick the mode

No-answer if your team picks up first. All calls for closed hours. Add busy and unreachable where your carrier gives them their own code.

  3. Dial the code from the phone you're forwarding

On T-Mobile with a 15-second delay, that's **61*12075550142**15# for no-answer forwarding, with your own number in place of 207-555-0142.

  4. Make a test call

Ring your number from a different phone. Ask to book a visit, then check that the transcript and summary arrive and the booking sits in your calendar.

  5. Know the off switch

Each carrier's off code is in the lookup. Your number never moved, so turning forwarding off puts everything back as it was.

Ring delay lives at the carrier

Once calls arrive, GreetKeeper does the answering. Plans start at $49 a month for 200 calls, and robocalls it screens out don't count toward the plan. See every tier on the pricing page, or read the call forwarding setup answer for the whole walkthrough.

Call forwarding code questions

What is the code to forward calls on Verizon?

Dial *72 and the ten-digit number to forward every call, or *71 and the number to forward only the calls you don't answer. Dial *73 to turn either one off. From Verizon's Call Forwarding FAQs, read September 25, 2026.

What are the T-Mobile call forwarding codes?

**21* forwards all calls, **67* forwards when busy, **61* when there's no answer and **62* when the phone is off or out of signal. Each takes 1 plus the ten-digit number and ends with #. ##004# resets every forward.

How do I change how many rings before a call forwards?

The ring count is set where the forwarding is set, at your carrier or in your phone system. T-Mobile takes 5 to 30 seconds in the no-answer code. Verizon's delay is fixed at about 30 seconds.

Which forwarding mode should a small business use?

Use no-answer forwarding if your team picks up first and you want the overflow covered. Switch to all calls when you're closed, on a job, or on holiday. Busy and unreachable forwarding catch the calls that land while you're on another line or out of signal.

Why does my forwarded call still go to voicemail?

Your phone's own voicemail is answering before the forward kicks in, or the code didn't take. Dial the code again from the phone you're forwarding, wait for the confirmation, and make a test call from a different phone.
