AI receptionists for home services, ranked on where the job lands
GreetKeeper is our product, and it ranks first for a home-services company because the booked job reaches ServiceTitan or Jobber through its webhook and the tool's own Zapier action, the on-call tech is texted the address, and the price is $49 a month with the overage printed at $0.45 a call.
A home-services office lives in its field-service software. A call that ends as a voicemail is a job someone has to key in later, if anyone remembers. The service you want captures the customer, the address and the request, books the slot, and puts the record where dispatch already looks.
Goodcall counts unique customers at $79 for 100 with uncapped minutes, which suits a company whose customers ring back through a job. Rosie anchors the price at $49 for 250 minutes with booking on its $149 plan. Dialzara starts at $29 for 60 minutes with overage printed on every tier.
Smith.ai puts a trained human team behind its AI at $150 for Pro, and PATLive answers with people and prints the per-minute rate on every tier. Abby Connect sells one currency for human and AI minutes from $165. Each suits an office that wants a person on some calls.
The dispatch text is the home-services detail. A no-heat call at 9pm needs a tech, and GreetKeeper texts the on-call person the caller's name, number, address and fault, transfers if you want it live, and tries a second number if the first does not pick up.
How this was put together
Disclosure: GreetKeeper is our product. Compared in September 2026 on a home-services company running ServiceTitan or Jobber, with every rival figure read on that vendor's own pricing page that month.
What we compared
- Whether the booked job reaches the field-service software as a record, and by what route.
- Whether an after-hours emergency reaches the on-call tech by text with the address.
- Whether the visit is booked into the calendar at the entry price, with the address confirmed.
- The billing unit, since a homeowner describing a fault takes minutes and a robocall takes seconds.
- Published price, allowance and overage rate.
The shortlist at a glance
Billing unit first, because it decides more of the final bill than the headline price does.

GreetKeeper
The job lands in ServiceTitan or Jobber through the webhook, the tech is texted, at $49.
Worth it for: An HVAC, plumbing or electrical company on ServiceTitan or Jobber that wants every call to end as a booked visit and a record in the software, with the on-call tech texted for emergencies.
Charges per answered call. Entry plan $49/mo for 200 answered calls. After the allowance: $0.45 a call on Starter, published.
Goodcall
One unit per customer through the job, minutes uncapped, overage printed.
Worth it for: A company whose customers ring back about access, parts and timing, since a repeat caller is one unit and the $0.50 overage per additional customer is on the page.
Not for: A company with separate service and sales numbers, because each phone number is a separate agent from $79.
Charges per unique caller. Entry plan Starter $79/mo ($66 annual) for 100 unique customers. After the allowance: $0.50 per additional unique customer, published.
Rosie
The $49 anchor, with booking and transfer on the $149 plan.
Worth it for: A small company that wants calls captured for $49 and will book the visit in Jobber itself.
Not for: Booking the visit or transferring a live emergency at the entry price, since both sit on the $149 Scale tier, and modelling the overage, since the rate is not published.
Charges per minute. Entry plan Professional $49/mo for 250 minutes. After the allowance: Not published.
Dialzara
The lowest entry price on the page, with a per-minute rate on every tier.
Worth it for: A start-up shop testing the category at $29, where the overage from $0.48 down to $0.35 a minute is printed.

Smith.ai

Worth it for: A larger company whose commercial-account calls are worth a person's attention when the assistant hands off, at near $2.00 a call.
Not for: Residential volume on a budget. Pro is $150 for 75 to 300 calls, and a summer week can clear the top of that band.
Charges per call. Entry plan Free tier at $0 for 25 calls, then $3.00 a call. After the allowance: Published, and the per-call rate falls as the tier rises.
PATLive
Live answering with every per-minute rate printed.

How to choose for a home-services company
Start with the software. If dispatch lives in ServiceTitan or Jobber, the call has to end there. GreetKeeper sends a signed webhook per call with the customer's name, number, address and request; Webhooks by Zapier catches it on a paid Zapier plan, and ServiceTitan's own Zapier action creates the lead or booking, while Jobber's creates the request with the client attached.
Then the emergency. A burst pipe at 9pm needs a tech within the hour, and GreetKeeper texts the on-call person the address and the fault, transfers the call if you want it live, and tries a second number if the first does not answer. Rosie's transfer is on its $149 tier.
Last, the meter. A homeowner takes minutes to describe a fault, and Dialzara's 60 minutes or Rosie's 250 are spent by the description. GreetKeeper counts answered calls at $49 for 200, with very short calls and screened robocalls not counted, and after the call the homeowner receives one text with the booking confirmation.
Our own pricing, in full
Including the rate after the allowance, which is the number most of this list leaves off.
| Plan | Monthly | Calls included | After that |
|---|---|---|---|
| StarterFor a single location taking calls one line at a time. | $49 | 200 | $0.45 per call |
| ProfessionalBooking, routing and transfers included, not an add-on. | $149 | 750 | $0.35 per call |
| ScaleFor busy phones and longer opening hours. | $349 | 2,000 | $0.25 per call |
The short version
- Booking is included on every tier. Rosie keeps booking and live transfer behind its $149 plan.
- The overage rate is on the pricing page. Rosie, Ruby, Slang and AnswerConnect do not publish theirs.
- Calls are counted, not minutes, so a long useful conversation costs the same as a short one.
Questions people ask about this list
Does the booked job show up in ServiceTitan or Jobber?
Yes, through GreetKeeper's webhook. A Zap on a paid Zapier plan catches each call, and ServiceTitan's own Zapier action creates the lead or booking, or Jobber's creates the request, with the address and the fault from the call. Dispatch schedules from there, and the transcript link is in the record.
How does the on-call tech get an after-hours emergency?
By text, with the caller's name, number, address and fault, the moment the call ends. If you want the call live, GreetKeeper transfers it, and if the tech does not pick up it tries a second number you nominate. Every call also arrives as a transcript and summary.
What does a summer of extra calls cost?
On GreetKeeper, $0.45 a call past 200 on Starter, $0.35 past 750 on Professional and $0.25 past 2,000 on Scale, all printed on the pricing page. Goodcall prints $0.50 per additional unique customer. Rosie's rate past 250 minutes is not published.
Why put GreetKeeper first for home services?
On the criteria above: the job reaches the field-service software, the tech is texted, booking is on the $49 plan and the overage is printed. Every plan starts with a 14-day trial with every feature on and no card, so an office can test the ServiceTitan or Jobber route before paying.
