The best AI receptionists for moving companies
GreetKeeper is our product, and it ranks first for movers on the method below. It asks your quote questions on every call, from move date to home size, and books the estimate visit into your calendar. A long quote call counts once, from $49 for 200 calls.
A moving enquiry is a long call. The customer wants to talk through a three-bedroom house, a piano and a second-floor walk-up, and they're phoning four companies the same afternoon. The company that answers and offers an estimate time is the one still in the running by dinner.
Goodcall bills unique customers at $79 for 100, so a family who rings back twice to change the date counts once. Rosie begins at $49 for 250 minutes and Dialzara at $29 for 60, both billed by the minute.
Smith.ai puts a human team behind its AI from $150 for Pro, and Ruby staffs human receptionists from $250 for 50 minutes.
How this was put together
Disclosure: GreetKeeper is our product. We compared six vendors in September 2026 for local and long-distance movers. We read every rival figure on that vendor's own pricing page that month.
What we compared
- Whether the assistant collects the details a quote needs and passes them on as structured answers.
- Whether an in-home or video estimate can be booked during the call.
- What a five-minute quote call costs on each billing unit.
- Whether several calls at once are answered during the summer peak.
- The published rate past the allowance.
The shortlist at a glance
Billing unit first, because it decides more of the final bill than the headline price does.

GreetKeeper
Asks your quote questions, books the estimate, counts a long call once.
Worth it for: A moving company whose dispatcher is on the phone with crews, and whose summer weekends bring more quote calls than one person can take.
Charges per answered call. Entry plan $49/mo for 200 answered calls. After the allowance: $0.45 a call on Starter, published.
Goodcall
Counts each customer once, with uncapped minutes.
Worth it for: A mover whose customers ring back several times as their dates shift, at $79 for 100 unique customers.
Not for: A company with a separate number per branch or per ad campaign, because every phone number is a priced agent.
Charges per unique caller. Entry plan Starter $79/mo ($66 annual) for 100 unique customers. After the allowance: $0.50 per additional unique customer, published.
Rosie
A $49 plan billed by the minute, with booking one tier up.
Worth it for: A small mover taking short calls who wants messages captured for $49 with 250 minutes.
Not for: Booking estimates on the entry plan, since booking sits on the $149 Scale tier, and long quote calls that spend minutes fast.
Charges per minute. Entry plan Professional $49/mo for 250 minutes. After the allowance: Not published.
Dialzara
The cheapest entry, with the per-minute overage printed.
Worth it for: An owner-operator with a van and a few calls a week, at $29 for 60 minutes.
Not for: Peak season, since a single quote call can use five or six of the 60 minutes.
Charges per minute. Entry plan Business Lite $29/mo for 60 minutes. After the allowance: Published on every tier, from $0.48 a minute down to $0.35.
Smith.ai
AI with trained people behind it, billed per call.
Worth it for: A long-distance or corporate relocation firm where one booked move is worth far more than about $2.00 a call on the $150 Pro plan.
Not for: A local mover with high call volume, since calls past the free tier's 25 cost $3.00 each.
Charges per call. Entry plan Free tier at $0 for 25 calls, then $3.00 a call. After the allowance: Published, and the per-call rate falls as the tier rises.
Ruby
Human receptionists, priced by the minute.
Worth it for: A premium mover whose customers expect a person, with a call count that fits $250 for 50 minutes.
Not for: Long quote calls in volume, since 50 minutes covers only a few of them and the overage rate is not on Ruby's pricing page.
Charges per minute. Entry plan $250/mo for 50 minutes. After the allowance: Not published on their pricing page.
What a moving company should weigh
Price the quote call, not the plan. A mover's enquiry often runs five minutes or more. On a per-minute meter that's five units; on GreetKeeper it's one answered call, at $0.45 past the allowance on Starter.
Next, check what the call hands you. GreetKeeper asks the intake questions you configure, such as move date, origin, destination and number of bedrooms. Each call arrives as a transcript and a short summary. A signed webhook carries the answers as question and answer pairs to your moving software.
Finally, plan for June. GreetKeeper answers calls that arrive together at the same time, so a Saturday spike doesn't queue. When the customer wants a person, it transfers to your office and tries a second number you nominate if nobody picks up.
Our own pricing, in full
Including the rate after the allowance, which is the number most of this list leaves off.
| Plan | Monthly | Calls included | After that |
|---|---|---|---|
| StarterFor a single location taking calls one line at a time. | $49 | 200 | $0.45 per call |
| ProfessionalBooking, routing and transfers included, not an add-on. | $149 | 750 | $0.35 per call |
| ScaleFor busy phones and longer opening hours. | $349 | 2,000 | $0.25 per call |
The short version
- Booking is included on every tier. Rosie keeps booking and live transfer behind its $149 plan.
- The overage rate is on the pricing page. Rosie, Ruby, Slang and AnswerConnect do not publish theirs.
- Calls are counted, not minutes, so a long useful conversation costs the same as a short one.
Questions people ask about this list
Can an AI receptionist give a moving quote?
GreetKeeper collects the details a quote depends on and books the estimate, and it answers the pricing questions you train it on. If you publish a minimum charge or hourly crew rate, it can state that. The binding quote stays with your estimator.
Can it book an in-home or video estimate?
Yes. GreetKeeper books into Google Calendar or Outlook during the call, on every plan. It reads the customer's name, number and the time back before it books, and the customer gets one text with the confirmation.
How do quote details reach my CRM?
GreetKeeper sends a signed webhook after each call, carrying the caller's details, the intake answers, the summary and a link to the transcript. Webhooks by Zapier catches it on a paid Zapier plan, or Make and n8n catch it with their own webhook trigger.
What does an AI receptionist cost a moving company?
GreetKeeper's Starter plan is $49 a month for 200 answered calls. Professional is $149 for 750 and Scale is $349 for 2,000, with overage at $0.35 and $0.25 a call. Annual billing gives two months free.
