Smith.ai pricing, explained

Smith.ai sells two products on two price pages, and most of the confusion starts there. Its AI Receptionist costs $0 for 25 calls, then $150 for 75, $270 for 150 and $500 for 300. Its human receptionists start at $300 for 30 calls and reach $2,100 for 300. Both products bill per call, not per minute.

On the AI side, the rate for an included call falls from $2.00 on the 75-call Pro tier to $1.60 on the 500-call Enterprise tier at $800. Calls past your allowance cost $3.00 on the free tier and $2.10 to $2.50 on the paid ones. We read every figure on smith.ai on 24 September 2026.

The human plans put a per-call menu on top of the plan price. Booking an appointment adds $1.50 a call, and recording with transcription adds $0.25. Overage runs $11.50 a call on Starter, $10.50 on Basic and $8.50 on Pro.

What moves a Smith.ai bill

  • Which of the two products you buy. Thirty calls a month costs $300 on the human Starter plan. On the AI Free plan the same month is 25 free calls plus five at $3.00, so $15.
  • The gap between AI tiers. At 200 calls you're choosing between $270 plus 50 extra calls at $2.30, which is $385, and the $500 tier with 100 calls spare.
  • Extra calls cost more than included ones. On the 75-call Pro tier each included call works out at $2.00, and the 76th costs you $2.50.
  • Per-call add-ons on the human plans. A firm that books 40 consultations a month adds $60 in booking fees before any overage.
  • Transfer destinations on the human plans: one on Starter, two on Basic and ten on Pro, with each extra one at $15 a month.

Worked example

A two-attorney family law firm takes 180 intake calls in a busy month, and 45 of those calls end in a booked consultation.

  1. Smith.ai AI Pro, 150-call tier

    $270 covers 150 calls, then 30 extra at $2.30. $270 + $69 = $339.

  2. Smith.ai AI Pro, 300-call tier

$500 covers all 180 with 120 to spare. $500, so staying on the lower tier and paying overage saves $161.

  3. Smith.ai human Basic

    $810 covers 90 calls, then 90 extra at $10.50 ($945), plus 45 bookings at $1.50 ($67.50). $1,822.50.

  4. GreetKeeper Starter

all 180 answered calls fit inside the 200 included, and booking is part of the plan. $49.

On Smith.ai's own card, the product you choose moves this firm's bill far more than the tier does: $339 with the AI and $1,822.50 with people, for the same 180 calls. Smith.ai prints both rate cards in full, so you can run this sum before you ever speak to their sales team.

Where our own price sits

GreetKeeper bills per answered call as well: $49 for 200 calls, $149 for 750 and $349 for 2,000. Past the allowance, a call costs $0.45, $0.35 or $0.25 by plan, and those rates sit on our pricing page.

Booking into Google Calendar or Outlook is on every plan, with no per-booking fee. Robocalls, spam calls and very short calls don't count toward your plan, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial with no card needed.

Pricing Smith.ai against your own call log

Take last month's inbound call count from your phone bill, then find the Smith.ai tier that sits just above it.

Price the tier below it too, with the extra calls at that tier's overage rate. On the AI plans the lower tier plus overage often costs less.

Count how many calls end in a booking. Each one adds $1.50 on Smith.ai's human plans, while GreetKeeper books on every plan at no extra charge.
