A phone call turns into a Housecall Pro customer, with the job details ready for your office
Your Zap catches GreetKeeper's webhook, which takes a paid Zapier plan. Housecall Pro's own Zapier app then creates the customer and nothing else, so this page is clear about who creates the job.
Caller
“The AC is blowing warm and it's going to hit thirty-five today. I'm at 14 Laurel Street. Anyone free this afternoon?”
What happened next
- Service address and the symptom captured while the caller was on the line
- Zap fired to create the customer in Housecall Pro with the address attached
- Symptom, afternoon preference and callback number emailed to the office
How GreetKeeper connects to Housecall Pro
Three states, and we publish the one that is true rather than the one that reads best.

What Housecall Pro is doing here
Housecall Pro is field-service software aimed at smaller home-service businesses. Scheduling, dispatch, estimates, invoicing and customer messaging run through one app that the techs also carry.
Its Zapier app is small. We read the action list in Zapier's directory in September 2026, and it has one action: Create Customer. It has triggers for scheduled and completed jobs, and no action that creates a job or an estimate.
So the Zap does the typing your office hates most. The customer exists, with a clean address and a phone number, before anyone sits down. The job is one click from that record, and a person makes it.
Where the booking lands
A customer record in Housecall Pro, and a job request in your office's inbox.
GreetKeeper takes the call and stores everything it heard. That includes the symptom in the caller's words, which matters more than a tidy category on a hot Sunday.
Zapier creates the customer, with the service address attached. The symptom and the caller's timing preference reach your office in the call email, because the Zapier app has nowhere to put a job.
Your office opens the new customer, creates the job and assigns it. Someone gives it a tech and a window, and the customer gets your normal on-my-way messaging. GreetKeeper does not touch that part.
Connecting it
One hook, one Housecall Pro step, and one agreement with your office about who books the job.
Agree who turns a new customer into a job
Name the person and the time of day. A customer record with no job behind it is easy to miss on a busy Monday, so this matters more than the Zap does.
Catch the webhook, then connect Housecall Pro
Start the Zap with Webhooks by Zapier and its Catch Hook trigger, and paste the hook address into GreetKeeper. Then authorize Housecall Pro from an account that can create customers. Look at the app's action list while you're there, so you see for yourself that Create Customer is what it offers.
Map the address into the customer
Map street, city and ZIP code separately. Put the caller's mobile in the phone field and not in a note. An address stranded in a text blob is what makes your office ring the customer back.
Call your own line on a quiet morning
Report a fake AC fault at your own address. Watch the customer appear in Housecall Pro, check the email has the symptom, create the job by hand, then delete both.
What this connection does not do
Questions about Housecall Pro and GreetKeeper
Does the Zap create the job in Housecall Pro?
No. Housecall Pro's Zapier app only creates customers. Your office creates the job from that customer, using the symptom and the timing in the call email.
Will a repeat customer get a second record?
They can. The Zapier app has no way to search for an existing customer, so a Zap can't check first. Most offices merge the duplicate when they book the job.
How long between the call ending and the customer appearing?
Usually seconds, sometimes minutes. Zapier's queue depends on your plan. On a busy Sunday that gap is worth knowing about, and the call email usually arrives first.
Can we run this on Zapier's free tier?
No. The Zap has to receive GreetKeeper's webhook, and Zapier keeps its webhook trigger for paid plans. There is no GreetKeeper Zapier app yet that would avoid that.
