Small firms get the inquiry written down properly, even when nobody picks up
A webhook from GreetKeeper and a Zap carry the call into MyCase. Receiving a webhook takes a paid Zapier plan, and we say plainly what the rest does and does not give you.
Caller
“My landlord is trying to evict us and we've got until the 30th. I don't know if that's even legal. Can someone look at the notice?”
What happened next
- Captured the caller's name, number and the deadline on the notice
- Asked your three intake questions and recorded the answers verbatim
- Pushed a MyCase contact and lead through Zapier, marked time-sensitive
How GreetKeeper connects to MyCase
Three states, and we publish the one that is true rather than the one that reads best.
| Tool | How it connects | What that means |

| MyCase | Through Zapier |
What MyCase is, and what its Zapier app handles
MyCase is cloud practice management aimed at small and solo firms. Cases, contacts, billing, client messaging and document storage sit together, and the price point is why many two-lawyer firms pick it.
MyCase includes lead management, so an inquiry has a proper home before it becomes a case. That shapes how this connection is usually built.
Its Zapier app accepts new contacts and leads, which is what an after-hours call should become. A case gets opened by a person, after someone has read what the caller said and decided the firm wants the work.
Where the call actually lands
One Zap, one record, and a lead list your Monday morning starts from.
GreetKeeper posts the finished call to your Zap's hook address, and MyCase's Zapier app creates the contact. Your intake answers map across as fields, so the eviction deadline is a date you can sort by rather than a sentence buried in a note.
Most solo firms point the Zap at a MyCase lead. The inquiry sits in the lead list until a lawyer reads it, which keeps unqualified callers out of your case list and out of your reporting.
Urgent calls can carry a flag. If a caller names a deadline inside seven days, GreetKeeper can mark the record and send you a text, so a statutory clock is not discovered on Monday.
Setting it up
A solo firm can do this without help. Budget half an hour, including the test call.
Pick the practice areas you actually want
GreetKeeper can qualify by case type and politely refer the rest. A family-law firm taking a stream of traffic tickets is a worse outcome than fewer calls.
Connect Zapier and choose lead or contact
You need a paid Zapier account of your own, because the Zap opens with Webhooks by Zapier and its Catch Hook trigger. Copy the hook address into GreetKeeper. Lead is the usual choice in MyCase, because it keeps the inquiry separate from live cases until someone qualifies it.
Map your intake answers to real fields
Deadline, case type, opposing party and how they found you. Fields you can filter beat a wall of transcript text when you are triaging on a Monday.
Turn on AI disclosure and place a test call
Utah requires regulated occupations, law included, to disclose verbally at the start of the call. Switch the announcement on, ring your own line, and read the MyCase record that appears.
What this connection does not do
Questions about MyCase and GreetKeeper
Can it turn away the case types we don't take?
Yes. You list the practice areas you want, and the rest get a polite referral message you write. The call is still logged, so you can see what you are turning down.
Does the caller's deadline reach us any faster than the Zap?
Yes, if you want it to. GreetKeeper can text or email you on an urgent flag independently of Zapier, so a seven-day deadline does not wait on a queue.
Contact or lead in MyCase, which is better?
Lead, for most firms. It keeps unqualified inquiries out of your case list, and a lawyer promotes the good ones after reading the intake answers.
What does a solo firm pay for besides GreetKeeper and MyCase?
A paid Zapier plan. We don't have a Zapier app yet, so your Zap receives the call through Webhooks by Zapier, and Zapier doesn't include that trigger on its free tier.
