Your Shopify store can show a number GreetKeeper answers

The phone number on your store is where shoppers turn when checkout confuses them. GreetKeeper answers it. It does not create or change orders.

How GreetKeeper connects to Shopify

Three states, and we publish the one that is true rather than the one that reads best.

What Shopify is in this setup

Shopify runs your storefront, your checkout and your order admin. Products, customers and orders all live there, and your theme controls what a shopper sees.

Most stores put a phone number somewhere: the header, the contact page, the footer, or the order confirmation email. That number is what a confused shopper dials.

GreetKeeper answers that number. Getting it on the site is a theme edit or a contact page change, and nothing is installed into Shopify itself.

Where the call record lands

Nothing about the call reaches your Shopify admin. Be clear about that, because the ordering is the thing people assume.

GreetKeeper does not create orders, edit carts, apply discounts or add notes to a Shopify customer. Your admin is unchanged after the call.

What you get is the transcript and the summary, sent to the address you nominate or posted to a webhook. Stores with a helpdesk usually take the webhook and create the ticket there.

If the caller wanted a fitting, a collection slot or a call back from a person, GreetKeeper books it into a connected Google Calendar or Outlook.

Getting the number onto your store

Three edits in Shopify, and one test call. No app to install.

  1. Put the number in your theme

In the Shopify admin, open Online Store, then Themes, then Customize. Most themes have a header or announcement bar where a phone number fits.

  2. Update the contact page

Edit the contact page under Pages and add the number as a tel link, so a shopper on a phone can tap it instead of copying digits.

  3. Add it to your order emails

Under Settings, then Notifications, add the number to the order confirmation and shipping confirmation templates. That is where post-purchase questions start.

  4. Ring it like a shopper would

Ask about a delivery date and a return. Read the transcript that arrives. If GreetKeeper got a policy wrong, that is a training fix, not a Shopify one.

Questions about Shopify and GreetKeeper

Can GreetKeeper place an order for a caller?

No. It captures what they want and sends you the record. The order is placed by a person or by the shopper on your checkout.

Can it look up an order status?

Not from Shopify. It takes the order number and the caller's details, and your team answers with the real status.

Is there a Shopify app to install?

No app. You add a phone number to your theme, your contact page and your notification emails, and GreetKeeper answers that number.
