Turn every service call into a Workiz lead your dispatcher can book
GreetKeeper answers, takes the address and the problem, then its webhook starts a Zap. Workiz's Create Lead action writes the record.
Caller
“Our garage door came off the track and the car's stuck inside. I'm at 14 Birch Lane. Can somebody come out this morning?”
What happened next
- Took the caller's name, number and the street address, then read them back
- Asked what's broken and whether the door is stuck open or shut
- Sent the call to Workiz as a new lead and texted the on-call tech
How GreetKeeper connects to Workiz
Three states, and we publish the one that is true rather than the one that reads best.

What Workiz is, and the two Zapier actions a call needs
Workiz is job management software for home service companies. Locksmiths, garage door crews, appliance repair shops and HVAC teams use it to schedule jobs, dispatch techs and send invoices from one screen.
Workiz lists two write actions on Zapier that fit a phone call. Create Lead takes a name, a phone number, an address and an email. Create Job goes a step further and puts work on the schedule.
Most shops start with Create Lead. Your dispatcher still decides who goes where, and GreetKeeper makes sure the lead is waiting with everything they need to make that call.
Where the call shows up in Workiz
When the call ends, GreetKeeper sends one signed webhook. Your Zap maps it into the Workiz fields you already use.
The caller's name, phone number and street address fill the lead's contact fields, and the email goes in when the caller gave one. Because GreetKeeper reads the address back before the call ends, your tech isn't driving to the wrong Birch Lane.
Your intake answers ride along as question and answer pairs. Ask about the make of the unit or whether there's a pet in the house. The answers land in the lead's notes, next to the short summary and a link to the transcript.
Some owners go straight to Create Job for callers who want a set time. GreetKeeper's webhook carries the requested time, so the Zap can put it on the job and your dispatcher confirms it in Workiz.
Connecting GreetKeeper to Workiz
Four steps, and none of them touch your Workiz schedule until you're ready.
Write your intake questions in GreetKeeper
Keep them to what your dispatcher asks today: the problem, the address, the equipment and how soon they need someone. GreetKeeper asks each one on every call.
Catch the webhook in Zapier
You'll need a paid Zapier plan (Professional or above). Pick Webhooks by Zapier, choose Catch Hook, and paste the address Zapier gives you into GreetKeeper's webhook setting.
Add Workiz's Create Lead action
Connect your Workiz account inside Zapier and map name, phone, address and email. Put the summary, intake answers and transcript link into the notes field.
Call your own line and open Workiz
Describe a real job, hang up and check the new lead. Once it looks right, forward your business number to GreetKeeper for the hours you want covered.
Getting more from Workiz leads
Set a transfer for true emergencies like a burst pipe or a lockout with a child inside. GreetKeeper puts the caller through to your on-call tech and tries a second number you nominate if the first doesn't pick up.
Give GreetKeeper your service area and trip-fee wording. It answers those questions on the call, so the leads that reach Workiz are people you can actually serve.
GreetKeeper screens out robocalls and spam calls before the greeting. They never become junk leads in Workiz, and they don't count toward your plan.
Questions about Workiz and GreetKeeper
Can GreetKeeper create a Workiz job instead of a lead?
Yes. Workiz's Zapier listing has a Create Job action as well as Create Lead. Many shops use Create Lead for general enquiries and save Create Job for callers who asked for a specific time.
Do we need a paid Zapier plan for Workiz?
Yes. The Zap starts with Webhooks by Zapier and its Catch Hook trigger, and that needs a paid Zapier plan (Professional or above). Workiz's own Zapier action does the writing.
What happens to a call at 2am on a Sunday?
GreetKeeper answers it, takes the details and sends the lead to Workiz. If the caller describes an emergency you've flagged, it texts or transfers to your on-call person right away.
Does the caller hear anything back after the call?
Yes. The caller gets one text after the call with the booking link or the booking confirmation. A reply with the opt-out word stops any further texts.
