How to forward Quo (OpenPhone) calls to GreetKeeper
Quo, formerly OpenPhone, forwards through its call flow builder. Drop in a Forward call step where you want GreetKeeper to take over.
The four forwarding modes on Quo (OpenPhone)
Quo gives you two ways to forward: a ready-made flow that forwards every call, and a Forward call step you place anywhere in a custom call flow. Where you put that step decides which calls GreetKeeper answers.
| What you want | Where it goes in Quo | Which calls forward |
|---|---|---|
| Every call | Default call flow dropdown > Forward all calls | All of them, straight away, until you switch back |
| Calls your team misses | Ring users step, then a Forward call step as the fallback | Calls nobody on the ring list picks up |
| After-hours calls | Business hours step, with Forward call on the after-hours branch | Everything outside the schedule in your settings |
| One menu option | Phone menu, with Forward call on the option you pick | Callers who press that key, such as the one for new bookings |
Quo lets a Forward call step sit after the Incoming call trigger, after Ring users as a fallback, after a Business hours condition, or behind a phone menu option. The flow only runs once it's enabled and shows as Live.
Call flow steps read on Quo's Resource Center, Call forwarding, https://support.quo.com/core-concepts/administration/call-flows/call-forwarding, on 25 September 2026.
Set up forwarding on Quo (OpenPhone)
Five steps, from copying the number to switching it off again.
Copy your GreetKeeper number
Sign in to GreetKeeper and copy the local number from your account. Quo takes it as an external number.
Open the call flow builder
In Quo, open the call flow for the number you want covered. To forward everything, click the Default call flow dropdown and select Forward all calls. For a fallback, drag a Forward call step after Ring users.
Enter the number and turn the flow on
Type your GreetKeeper number as the destination. For the ready-made flow, click Create new call flow. Then click Enable this call flow and check the Live indicator appears.
Test it the way a customer would
Call your Quo number from a mobile and let it ring out, or press the menu key you pointed at GreetKeeper. Book a test job, then read the transcript and the short summary that follow.
Switch back when you want
Select Default call flow from the dropdown and click Enable this call flow. Quo says forwarding stops at once, and your team's routing is back as it was.
Where to put the Forward call step
A two-person house-cleaning business on one shared Quo number usually wants the fallback. Both owners are in client homes with the vacuum running. Ring users rings them first, and when neither can answer, GreetKeeper books the quote visit and texts the details to whoever is on call.
A phone menu option works well for a busy salon. Keep 1 for the front desk and point 2, the new-bookings option, at GreetKeeper. Regulars still reach a person, and first-time callers book without waiting for someone to finish a blow-dry.
Use Forward all calls for the week the whole company is closed, which is the example Quo itself gives. Switch it on before you leave and switch back to your default flow when you open again.
What Quo's help page says about forwarded calls
Once Quo forwards a call to an external number, the call is outside your Quo workspace. Quo logs it as an incoming call that was transferred, and the recording and transcript come from GreetKeeper instead. Every call GreetKeeper answers arrives as a transcript and a short summary.
A forwarded call doesn't fall back to your Quo voicemail. That's the point here: GreetKeeper answers, so there's nothing left for voicemail to catch.
Quo forwards to US numbers, and your GreetKeeper number is a US local number, so the destination field accepts it as it is.
If forwarding seems to do nothing, Quo's own checklist says to confirm the number, then check the flow is published and live, and that no other setting conflicts with it.
Quo (OpenPhone) forwarding questions
How do I forward calls in Quo (OpenPhone)?
Open the call flow for your number, choose Forward all calls from the Default call flow dropdown, and enter the destination. Click Create new call flow, then Enable this call flow. The Live indicator shows it's on.
Can Quo forward only the calls my team misses?
Yes. Add a Ring users step, then a Forward call step after it as the fallback. Calls your team answers stay with them, and the rest go to GreetKeeper.
Will I still get a transcript of forwarded Quo calls?
Yes, from GreetKeeper. Every call it answers comes back as a transcript and a short summary, and a booking lands straight in your connected calendar.
