Rosie vs Goodcall

Rosie and Goodcall are both AI receptionists, and they bill on different meters. Rosie counts minutes: $49 for 250, $149 for 1,000 and $299 for 2,000. Goodcall counts unique customers per phone number: $79 for 100, $129 for 250 and $249 for 500. Minutes are uncapped, and each extra customer is $0.50.

So two numbers from your own phone log settle it. How long do your calls run, and how many of them come from people who've already called this month? Long calls from repeat customers favour Goodcall's meter. Short calls from lots of different people favour Rosie's.

Rosie fits a single-line business with brief calls that can start on its $149 Scale plan, where booking and live transfer begin. Goodcall fits a business with regulars who ring often and talk at length, on one number. Both pricing pages were read in September 2026.

Two meters, and the two numbers that decide between them

Open your call log for last month and write down three figures. Total calls, total minutes and the number of different callers. You'll get more from those three than from either vendor's feature list.

Rosie's bill follows the minutes. Goodcall's bill follows the distinct callers, and it doesn't care how long each one talks. A business with loyal customers who call back often sees two very different counts.

A landscaping month on each meter

Picture a landscaping firm with 180 calls in a month. Most are regulars checking a visit date or adding a job, so the calls come from 110 different people. The average call runs about three minutes, for 540 minutes in all.

On Rosie, 540 minutes is past the 250 on Professional. Scale covers 1,000 minutes for $149, and that's also the plan where booking starts. You'd sit on Scale with room for a busier spring.

On Goodcall, 110 unique customers is ten more than Starter's 100. You'd pay Starter's $79 plus $0.50 for each of the ten, or move up to Growth at $129 for 250. The 540 minutes don't enter the bill at all.

Now add a second number for a snow-clearing line. Ask Rosie how that line is billed before you add it. On Goodcall, each phone number is its own agent, so the new line is a second subscription.

What Rosie's bundles give you

Rosie's plans are Professional at $49 for 250 minutes, Scale at $149 for 1,000 and Growth at $299 for 2,000. Annual billing gives you two months free. It trains itself from your website and your Google Business Profile, so setup starts from what you've already published.

Two lines on the page shape the choice. Booking and live transfer begin on Scale. And the rate for a minute past your bundle isn't printed, so ask Rosie before a busy season.

What Goodcall's unique-customer plans give you

Goodcall's Starter is $79 a month for 100 unique customers, or $66 billed annually. Growth is $129 for 250 ($108 annual), and Scale is $249 for 500 ($208 annual). Minutes are uncapped throughout.

Its overage is on the page too: $0.50 for each unique customer past your plan. That's a rare figure to see printed, and it makes a busy month easy to price. Just remember it's counted per agent, and every phone number is an agent.

GreetKeeper's meter, for comparison

Disclosure: GreetKeeper is our product, and this is the one section it appears in. It counts answered calls across your whole account, however long each runs and however many numbers point at it. Starter is $49 a month for 200 calls, then $0.45 a call. Professional is $149 for 750 at $0.35, and Scale is $349 for 2,000 at $0.25.

The landscaping month above is 180 answered calls, inside Starter. Its snow-clearing line can keep its own hours, greeting and calendar under the same account. Booking into Google Calendar or Outlook is on every plan, and screened robocalls don't count toward it.

Every plan includes a dedicated local number in the area code you choose, and you forward your existing number to it. There's no setup fee, and you start with a 14-day free trial, every feature on and no card.

StarterFor a single location taking calls one line at a time.$49200$0.45 per call

Questions people ask about this comparison

Is Rosie or Goodcall cheaper?

Rosie is cheaper to start, at $49 for 250 minutes against Goodcall's $79 for 100 unique customers. Goodcall's minutes are uncapped, so long calls from repeat customers cost less there. Run your own minutes and caller count through both.

What does Goodcall mean by a unique customer?

A distinct caller in the billing month. If the same customer calls you three times, Goodcall counts one. Each phone number you run is a separate agent with its own plan, and extra customers past the plan cost $0.50 each.

Does Rosie include appointment booking?

From its Scale plan. Rosie lists booking and live transfer on Scale at $149 a month for 1,000 minutes and on Growth at $299. The $49 Professional plan covers 250 minutes of answering.

What happens when I go over my plan?

On Goodcall, each extra unique customer is $0.50, printed on its pricing page. Rosie doesn't print a rate for minutes past the bundle, so ask for it in writing. Both were read in September 2026.
