Goodcall vs Dialzara for a small business
Goodcall and Dialzara are both AI receptionists for small businesses, and they count your month in different units. Goodcall counts unique callers: $79 a month covers 100 of them, with minutes uncapped, and each extra caller is $0.50. Dialzara counts minutes: $29 covers 60, $99 covers 220, and every tier prints its own overage rate.
The unit decides the bill more than the headline price does. A business whose regulars ring back several times a month, or who talk for a long time, gets more from Goodcall's count. A business with a low, steady number of short calls can start cheaper on Dialzara.
Goodcall suits a single-line shop with long or repeat calls. Dialzara suits a business that wants booking, routing, Spanish and CRM links on every tier, starting from the lowest printed price of the two. Figures were read on both vendors' sites in September 2026.

How Goodcall counts a unique caller
Goodcall's own definition is any caller with a unique phone number who calls and actually says something to the agent in a month, rather than hanging up at once. The same person ringing five times counts once. A caller who hangs up before speaking doesn't count at all.
Minutes don't enter the sum. A twelve-minute call about a quote costs the same as a thirty-second one. That's why Goodcall's model suits businesses with long calls or loyal regulars.
The catch sits in the phrase per agent. Goodcall treats each phone number as its own agent, so a shop with a main line and a service line pays for two plans. Budget the plan once for each number you'll forward.
How Dialzara's minute tiers step up
Dialzara prints four inbound plans: $29 for 60 minutes, $99 for 220, $199 for 500 and $349 for 1,000. Every tier shows its overage rate beside it, from $0.48 a minute on Business Lite to $0.35 on Business Elite.
Each tier includes the same core list: 24/7 answering, appointment booking, lead qualification, call routing, voicemail transcription, CRM and calendar links, English and Spanish, and a custom voice. Elite adds dedicated onboarding.
You'll want to know your average call length before you pick a tier. At three minutes a call, Business Lite's 60 minutes is about 20 calls. Business Pro's 220 is about 73.
Two businesses, priced on each card
A dog groomer takes 90 calls a month from 70 different people, averaging two minutes each. On Goodcall, 70 unique callers fit inside Starter at $79. On Dialzara, 180 minutes sits inside Business Pro at $99.
A roofing contractor takes 150 calls from 140 people, and quote calls run about six minutes. On Goodcall, 140 callers fit inside Growth at $129. On Dialzara, 900 minutes lands on Business Elite at $349.
Now give that contractor a second phone number for storm work. Goodcall prices the second number as a second agent. Run your own calls through both before you trust either example.
What else comes with each plan
Goodcall's tiers scale the tools around the phone. Starter gets one logic flow, three team members and seven days of call history. Scale gets 25 logic flows, 50 team members and unlimited history. Goodcall also connects to Zapier and Google Voice.
Dialzara bundles extra channels with any voice plan. Its AI text agent is free with voice, and its website chatbot is free for the first 100 sessions a month when bundled. It lists no setup fee, and every paid plan gets a one-to-one setup session.
Where GreetKeeper fits
Disclosure: GreetKeeper is our product, and it's named only here. It uses a third meter: answered calls. A long call costs the same as a short one, and a caller who rings back is simply another call on a large allowance.
Starter is $49 a month for 200 answered calls. Professional is $149 for 750, and Scale is $349 for 2,000. Past that, a call costs $0.45, $0.35 or $0.25, and very short calls and screened robocalls don't count.
Each number under one account keeps its own hours, greeting and calendar, so a storm line and a main line can behave differently. Booking goes straight into Google Calendar or Outlook on every plan, and the caller gets one text with the confirmation.
There's no setup fee, a dedicated local number comes with every plan, and a 14-day free trial starts without a card.
| Plan | Monthly | Calls included | After that |
|---|---|---|---|
| StarterFor a single location taking calls one line at a time. | $49 | 200 | $0.45 per call |
| ProfessionalBooking, routing and transfers included, not an add-on. | $149 | 750 | $0.35 per call |
| ScaleFor busy phones and longer opening hours. | $349 | 2,000 | $0.25 per call |
Questions people ask about this comparison
Is Goodcall or Dialzara cheaper?
Dialzara's entry plan is lower, at $29 for 60 minutes against Goodcall's $79 for 100 unique callers (September 2026). Which costs less for you depends on call length. Long calls and repeat callers favour Goodcall's count, while a few short calls a month favour Dialzara's minutes.
What counts as a unique customer on Goodcall?
Goodcall counts any caller with a unique phone number who calls and says something to the agent in a month, without hanging up at once. Repeat calls from the same number count once. Each extra unique caller past the plan is $0.50.
Does Dialzara charge for going over its minutes?
Yes, at a rate it prints on each plan. It's $0.48 a minute on the $29 Business Lite plan and $0.35 a minute on the $349 Business Elite plan (September 2026). The two middle plans sit between those rates.
Can I try Goodcall and Dialzara for free?
Both offer a trial. Dialzara's is seven days, and Goodcall lists a free trial on all its plans. Forward a single line to each in turn, and compare a week of transcripts before you choose.
