How to forward Comcast Business calls to GreetKeeper
Comcast Business VoiceEdge sets all four forwarding modes on one portal tab. Xfinity Mobile phones use two short codes instead.
The four forwarding modes on Comcast Business
In the VoiceEdge portal, every forwarding mode sits on the Call Forwarding tab under Feature Settings. You enter the number, toggle the mode on, and save. Xfinity Mobile lines forward from the phone with a star code.

On Xfinity Mobile, *71 forwards calls you don't answer on the phone and *73 turns forwarding off. On VoiceEdge, Not Reachable is set up when your service is provisioned, and you can change its number in the portal any time.

Set up forwarding on Comcast Business
Five steps, from copying the number to switching it off again.
Copy your GreetKeeper number
Open your GreetKeeper account and copy the local number you picked. Keep the area code on it, since Comcast asks for the number as you'd dial it.
Log in to the VoiceEdge portal
Go to business.comcast.com/bveportal. From the Main Navigation Page, select Feature Settings, then click the Call Forwarding tab.
Enter the number and switch the mode on
Next to Call Forwarding No Answer or Busy, enter your GreetKeeper number, click On, then click Save. For Not Reachable, scroll down the same tab, enter the number and save. On an Xfinity Mobile phone, dial *71 and the number instead.
Test from outside the office
Call your business number from a mobile and let it ring out. GreetKeeper answers, captures the caller's name, number and reason, and sends you the transcript and summary.
Switch it off
Toggle the mode Off on the Call Forwarding tab and click Save. On Xfinity Mobile, dial *73 and wait for the confirmation tone.
Which Comcast mode fits your business
A chiropractic front desk on VoiceEdge is a Call Forwarding Busy and No Answer office. The desk handles check-ins and one call at a time. With both on, the second caller reaches GreetKeeper, and so does anyone who rings during a check-in. GreetKeeper books the adjustment into your calendar.
Comcast's guide pitches Not Reachable as the continuity feature for power and broadband outages. Point it at GreetKeeper and a storm that takes the office offline doesn't take your phone line with it. Callers still hear your greeting and still book.
An owner who runs the business from an Xfinity Mobile phone usually wants *71. Your phone rings first, and calls you can't take go to GreetKeeper. Texts still come to your phone as normal, because Xfinity's forwarding leaves messages alone.
Comcast Business rules worth knowing
While Call Forwarding Always is on, you can't answer calls on that line, and the phone gives a splash ring to remind you. Turn it off when you want the desk to answer again.
Comcast's guide says the forwarding number must be one your outgoing calling plan permits. Your GreetKeeper number is an ordinary US local number.
If you use VoiceEdge's Be Anywhere, Comcast says to disable Remote Office and Call Forwarding Always while it's on, or the features clash.
Xfinity Mobile only lets you set forwarding from the mobile itself, not from another phone or a computer. With forwarding on, unanswered calls skip your mobile voicemail and go to GreetKeeper.
