How to forward Frontier calls to GreetKeeper

Frontier's digital voice lines take three forwarding codes from the handset. The fourth mode, for a line that's down, lives in the web portal.

The four forwarding modes on Frontier

Frontier's Quick Reference Guide lists a code to switch each handset mode on and a matching code to switch it off. Unavailable forwarding is set in the portal instead, because it covers the moments your phone can't dial anything.

ModeFrontier code or settingOffWhat forwards
All calls*72, then your GreetKeeper number*73Every call; the office phone stays quiet
Busy*90, then your GreetKeeper number*91Calls that come in while the line is in use
No answer*92, then your GreetKeeper number*93Missed calls that would have gone to voicemail
UnreachableUnavailable Call Forwarding, in the web portalPortalCalls to a line that's unplugged or has lost power

Frontier's guide says All Call Forwarding overrides every other forwarding option while it's on. Fiber Digital Voice also has a Back-up Number for outages, which stops forwarding by itself once service is restored.

Codes read on Frontier's Unlimited Digital Voice Quick Reference Guide, https://frontier.com/documents/helpcenter/phone/unlimited-digital-voice-calling-features.pdf, and Frontier's Calling features help page, https://frontier.com/helpcenter/phone/calling-features, on 25 September 2026.

Set up forwarding on Frontier

Five steps, from copying the number to switching it off again.

  1. Check which Frontier voice service you have

Sign in to My Account and open Account Summary, or tap Services in the MyFrontier app. Your phone service shows under My Services, and that tells you which Frontier guide your codes come from.

  2. Have your GreetKeeper number ready

Copy the local number from your GreetKeeper account. Write it down as ten digits so you can key it in without looking twice.

  3. Dial the code from the Frontier phone

Lift the handset, dial *92 for missed calls or *90 for busy ones, then key in the number. For every call, use *72. You'll hear a confirmation tone when it's set.

  4. Call the office from a mobile

Let the office phone ring out, or call while someone is on the line to test the busy code. When GreetKeeper answers, ask to book a visit, then open the transcript and the summary.

  5. Switch it off when you're back

Dial *93 to end the no-answer forward, *91 for busy, or *73 for all calls. Your Frontier number rings at the desk again straight away.

Which Frontier code fits your business

A family landscaping firm with one Frontier line in the office trailer is a *92 case. Whoever's inside answers when they can. Calls that ring out go to GreetKeeper, which books the estimate and reads the address back before it hangs up.

A bakery taking custom cake orders by phone gets tied up on long calls about flavors and dates. Add *90 so the next caller isn't met with a busy tone. GreetKeeper answers calls that arrive together at the same time, so a Saturday rush doesn't stack up.

Rural lines lose power in storms, and that's when customers call. Set Unavailable Call Forwarding in the portal to your GreetKeeper number. When the phone is unplugged or the power's out, callers still reach a greeting and a booking.

Frontier details to know first

Frontier runs more than one voice service, and its help center says setup varies by the type you have. Check My Services before you dial, so you use the right guide.

*72 wins over everything else. Frontier says All Call Forwarding overrides every other forwarding option, so turn it off with *73 when you want the busy and no-answer forwards to take over again.

Frontier's Fiber Digital Voice guide notes that calls forwarded to international numbers may carry per-minute rates. Your GreetKeeper number is a US local number, so that note doesn't reach it.

Robocalls that slip past the line are screened out by GreetKeeper before the greeting, and they don't count toward your plan.

Frontier forwarding questions

What is Frontier's code for call forwarding?

Dial *72 and then the number to forward every call. Dial *73 to turn it off. Frontier lists these on its Calling features help page.

How do I forward Frontier calls only when I don't answer?

Dial *92, then the number you're forwarding to. Frontier's quick reference guide says it sends missed calls to another number. Dial *93 to turn it off.

What happens to my calls when Frontier service is down?

Set Unavailable Call Forwarding in the portal, or a Back-up Number on Fiber Digital Voice. Calls then reach the number you chose while the line is out, and forwarding stops once service is back.

Does the caller get anything after the call?

Yes. The caller gets one text with their booking link or confirmation, and a reply with the opt-out word stops further texts. Your on-call person gets a text with the caller's details.

Dial *92, then ring the office

Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, every feature on, no card. Your Frontier number stays on the door.
