NextPhone review: unlimited calls, priced by feature tier

NextPhone is an AI receptionist sold on flat monthly plans with unlimited calls. Pro costs $199 a month, Growth starts at $299 and Scale at $599. Your call count never moves the bill. What moves it is the feature you need next, such as a CRM link or a second office number.

Law firms get most of the attention on NextPhone's homepage, with service businesses close behind. Its demo story is a returning caller, recognised by number, who skips the questions already asked on the first call. We read NextPhone's pricing page and homepage FAQ on 24 September 2026 and wrote this review from them.

What NextPhone charges

NextPhone has no per-call or per-minute charge on any plan, and no overage fee. You pick a plan by what it unlocks. Annual billing saves up to 17%, according to the pricing page. A 7-day free trial comes first, and NextPhone says you aren't charged if you cancel before it ends.

What each NextPhone plan unlocks

Pro is the answering plan. You get a dedicated number or keep your own, real-time call alerts by SMS and email for one person, booking and transfers. The iOS app comes with every plan, so you can read calls and transcripts on your phone.

Growth is where your CRM comes in. NextPhone writes contacts, notes and intake answers into tools such as Clio, GoHighLevel, ServiceTitan and HubSpot after each call. Zapier, Make, webhooks and the API are listed from this plan too, and team alerts widen to 3 SMS and 4 email recipients.

Scale is built for a business with more than one front door. It adds extra numbers for offices, departments and locations, plus custom routing. Your team can also text back and forth with customers from the dashboard, and call or text from the business number in the app.

A returning client calls a NextPhone law firm

NextPhone's homepage walks through one call in detail: a client ringing back about a car accident claim. We've set out those steps in order. The sequence comes from NextPhone's own published copy. We didn't place a test call.

  1. The number is forwarded, or NextPhone issues one

You forward your existing line when you're busy or after hours, or you take a new local number from NextPhone. Its FAQ puts setup at about 5 minutes: enter your website and it learns your services.

  2. The caller is recognised by number

NextPhone matches the number to past calls. It greets the caller by name and already holds their email, address and any upcoming appointments.

  3. Questions already answered are skipped

In NextPhone's example, the assistant skips the four intake questions answered on the first call. It picks up where the last conversation stopped.

  4. The consultation is booked

The assistant books the free consultation against the firm's real availability. It can text the caller a link while they're still on the line.

  5. Staff get the summary and the CRM record

Your team receives the summary, intake answers, transcript and recording. On Growth and above, the caller and the booking are written into the CRM.

Where NextPhone's flat pricing lands well

A business whose phone rings all day gets the most from unlimited calls. NextPhone says a busy month costs exactly the same as a slow one, so a heavy line pays nothing extra.

Law firms running intake through Clio, Lawmatics, MyCase or PracticePanther will recognise their own tools on NextPhone's pages. The CRM write-back that makes that work starts on the Growth plan.

Teams that want month-to-month terms can cancel from the dashboard. NextPhone says your number and call history stay active to the end of the billing period.

What GreetKeeper charges for the same phone line

Disclosure: GreetKeeper is our product. It bills by the answered call, and the plans start lower. Starter is $49 a month for 200 answered calls, Professional is $149 for 750, and Scale is $349 for 2,000. Extra calls cost $0.45, $0.35 or $0.25 by plan.

Your webhook comes with every GreetKeeper plan. It's signed, and it posts the caller's name, number, intake answers and summary the moment a call ends. Make or n8n can catch it, and so can Zapier on a paid Zapier plan (Professional or above).

Every plan includes a dedicated local number. Several offices can take the Multi-location plan from $299 per location, and each number keeps its own hours, greeting and calendar.

Robocalls and spam calls are dropped before the greeting and never count toward your plan. You get a 14-day free trial with every feature on and no card.
